This Easter Sunday the historic town of Clyde, just 20 minutes down the road, will host the annual Clyde Wine and Food Harvest Festival.

Entertainment and stalls featuring local wines and produce will share their finest wares with the thousands of visitors who attend each year.

The event has become a ‘must do’ Easter weekend occasion celebrating the regions finest foods and wines.

The festival is organised by Promote Dunstan, and volunteers make sure the well oiled machine runs smoothly year after year.

Wineries or wine producers from Clyde, Earnscleugh and the Alexandra basin  in addition to Central Otago pinot noir will be in the spotlight offering tantalising chardonnay, riesling, pinot gris, gewurztraminer, rose and cabernet merlot.

Food, wine, handcrafts, art, entertainment, and good company will all bring an element of fun to the festival as Clyde boasts their great wines from across the basin, indulge in southern hospitality and created a great day out for all.

Guests are invited to purchase a festival glass taking the admission fee from $15 to $20 and allowing wine lovers to taste the region’s finest wines.

It;s also a great idea to have cash handy, eftpos will be available from the Clyde Fire Station, but to avoid queues it’s best to be prepared and have some cash on-hand.
