Stage 3

Stage 3 of “Lot 47 Cromwell community house build fundraising project is in full swing. Garry Morton, Cromwell Building Contractors and his team are doing an amazing job. They have completed all internal bracing and fixing the windows plus much more.

This enabled:

  • Performance Interiors to supply and install the rondo battens
  • Steve White Electrical to do the prewiring with products supplied by NES Central Limited and Telfers
  • Not Just Plumbing to do the pre-plumbing with products supplied by Oakleys Plumbing Supplies
  • Neville McDowall, 45 Central Ltd, to install the wiring and pipes for the heat pumps, so the pink batts can be installed, and jib fixed in the next week or so.

The jib on the high lounge wall is part of the bracing.  Therefore, Cromwell Builders Ltd (Versatile Homes) installed the pink batts and jibbed the lounge walls in time for the “Roof Shout”, hosted by SBS Bank, on Friday night. It was great to have so many turn out so that Doreen Evans, on behalf of Cromwell Rotary and Lions Clubs could thank all that have been involved to date, in particular those that completed Stages 1 and 2 of the project.

Stage 3

We hear the build is moving along so quickly that SBS Bank will be hosting the “Closed In” celebration in a few weeks! Amazing progress by so many pulling together to do a little bit to create something BIG together.
