aged care facility

A long planning process and 18-month construction period, taking into account a Covid-19 lockdown, has come full circle with an idea being realised and executed.

Golden View Care will welcome their first residents this week.

Staff have been inducted, directors and stakeholders have been welcomed and residents from the neighbouring Golden View Lifestyle Village have all enjoyed a look through the beautifully furbished aged care hospital right in the heart of Cromwell.

The hospital is able to offer 48 beds at this stage with another 12 to be completed in December.

They also have 11 beds available in a secure dementia unit and one palliative or respite care room with a family room attached, allowing loved ones to stay close.

“There are also 19 assisted care apartments due to be completed next April, allowing older people to continue living independently, but having support on-hand when required,” says Manager Trish Bulling.

Golden View Care has employed around 50 new staff members including nurses, administration, kitchen staff, cleaners and maintenance, and are very pleased to welcome the new team including care manager Juliette Towers and clinical manager Leighann Cochrane.

“Juliette and Leighann both have a wealth of knowledge and experience between them, and we are thrilled to have both on-board”.

“We have created a great team, ready and passionate about providing the very best in aged care,” she adds.
