Last Thursday, 29 July, Carrick Winery and Restaurant announced that it has been recognised as a 2021 Travellers’ Choice award winner for restaurants.

The award is earned by businesses who have received top traveller reviews over the previous twelve months and indicates that the restaurant has earned a place in in the top 10% of restaurants worldwide.

Carrick’s owner, Alison Cleland, is delighted, saying, “It is a fantastic achievement and speaks volumes of the dedicated team we have a here.  We look forward to continuing to welcome and serve all who come through our doors.”

Most reviews write in praise of the wonderful location and outlook, as well as the quality of the food and wine. Recent reviewers have included a stop at Carrick as part of the Lake Dunstan Trail.

Tripadvisor is the world’s largest travel platform, and it receives reviews on nearly nine million tourism businesses across the globe.

Kanika Soni, Chief Commercial Officer of Tripadvisor, is impressed with how tourism businesses have adapted to the challenging past year, saying,
