Cromwell Dental Centre

Thanks to a joint campaign by Southern Cross Health Trust and the New Zealand Dental Association, hundreds of low-income adults throughout New Zealand will receive free dental care.

Smile NZ Free Dental Day is now in its 5th year and local Cromwell Dentists, Dr Catherine Lawson & Dr Simon Lewis of Cromwell Dental Centre in The Mall are taking part on August 12th.

Making this Dr Catherine Lawsons 4th year taking part in the Free Dental Day and as the owner of Cromwell Dental she says, “The Free Dental Day is a great opportunity for us to return a kind service back to the people of Cromwell who are in need.

We are conscious of the fact that oral health sometimes gets left behind, so although we may only see some patients for a limited amount of time, we feel that the impact and the education that is given is helpful and benefits their overall health.”

People who hold a Community Services Card are eligible.

They will be given a 45-minute appointment for a single dental treatment and will receive oral health education and a free hygiene pack.

Available treatments include fillings, tooth restorations, extractions, fluoride applications and pain relief.

Bookings are essential, so patients must call 0800 FREE SMILE/0800 373 376.

Appointments will be available on a first-come first-served basis and fill up fast.
