Members of the Cromwell Patchwork Group have gone the extra mile spreading their warm generosity wide by gifting the Cromwell Community House, Cromwell Plunket and the Cancer Society with handmade quilts ready to be passed onto families and individuals in our community.

A group effort, each quilt has come together using fabric and materials from the quilter’s own stashes and some donated.

“These are beautiful quilts that will certainly be well-loved, they are sure to bring comfort, we are very grateful, these ladies are a very talented bunch” says Cromwell Community House manager Karen Palmer.

Made from all natural fibres each quilter made several blocks which were then quilted together to create the quilts.

It has been a team effort to create these beautiful pieces and the Cromwell Patchwork Group are proud to be able to hand them over to the wider community knowing they will find good homes.

Members are looking forward to being able to donate more quilts in the future, but for now are happy to hand over 10 quilts in total.

The Cromwell Patchwork Group meets every Thursday at 9.30am and the first and third Tuesday evening of each month at 7pm in the Cromwell Arts and Crafts Room in the Heritage Precinct, Cromwell.
