Charity Auction

The Cromwell Community Squash Club is hosting a Charity Auction following the Masters Squash Tournament this weekend to raise money for Stacey Hansen and her family.

Over $2,000 has already been raised through entry fees and it is hoped that much more will be raised on Saturday evening.

Stacey Hansen is currently battling Acute Myeloid Leukaemia after what started as a sore throat and some blood tests, has now seen Stacey in hospital for over four months with many more to come.

Stacey has been a member of the Cromwell Community Squash Club for a number of years, during which time she has taken on many roles, including ladies club captain, draw extraordinaire and banter queen.

She always has time for a yarn and a quick hit with anyone and is the reason we have many of our members. “We don’t think it is a stretch to say she is the heart and soul of our club.” Says club secretary Emma Hill.

The Charity Auction will be held from 6pm at the Cromwell Community Squash Club.

Members of the public are invited to check out the impressive auction items up for grabs, enter raffles and watch the games.

“We are hoping to attract as many people as we can from the community to join us and support Stacey in her battle!” Emma adds.

There are amazing items up for auction including:

Ben Nevis Station donating a Nevis Experience including hotlaps, claybird shooting, archery and lunch for up to 10 people valued at $4,500. Highlands Motorsport Park have donated a Supercar Fast Dash and lunch in the private GT Members Lounge for 2 people.
