Lot 47 update

Doreen Evans representing Cromwell Rotary and Lions Clubs said that she has been amazed at the community support this project has received.

So many businesses and people have got behind this project and donated time, skills, experience, products, enthusiasm, fun and laughter. Doreen said she feels honoured to be involved in this project with so many people and businesses from this awesome community.

The project is on the home straight with completion hopefully by early October.

The Tile Warehouse are a strong supporter of Lot 47. They have supplied the flooring for the kitchen, dining, living and hallway areas as well as the outside entertainment area. Bella Casa who have donated their time to lay the flooring product.

The Tile Warehouse have also supplied the tiles for the bathrooms, under floor heating, adhesive and water proofing products.

Again, they teamed up with Bella Casa who have laid the tiles in the bathrooms and toilet.

The Tile Warehouse and Bella Casa have done an amazing job with the tiles and flooring chosen by Paula Jackson. Even Les Topping had to admit that he may have got it wrong when Paula first showed him her choices and he screwed up his nose.

Doreen said it may have been a generational gap thing!

Extreme Roofing have installed Roofing Industries’ True Oak Corrugated cladding. Extreme Roofing and Roofing Industries have been another awesome supporter of Lot 47.

They have supplied and installed all the roof, flashings and iron cladding. Doreen said the roof and cladding looks fantastic and have really set this home apart from the others. She encourages people to drive by 11 Searle Drive and check it out.

Simply Wardrobes have donated and installed the joinery for the wardrobes and cupboards. In the master bedroom an I-Robe Five system has been installed on both sides of the walk-in wardrobe.

That means there are 6 soft closing draws, 8 shelves, 2 long hang and 4 double hang sets.

There is also a 300 deep shelf running the length of both side walls. On the back wall a shoe rack can be purchased from Simply Wardrobes by the new owner.

Garage Doors Central Otago installed the garage door motor this week, so the garage door is now operational.

Lakes Concrete Placing poured the pathways with concrete supplied by McNultys.

Otago Polytechnic Central Campus have completed the stone wall with stone supplied by Wanaka Stone.

This is a true feature of the property. Doreen said it was great to see students working on this community fundraising project. What a great course.

The letter box will also be made from Wanaka Stone laid by Central Campus students.

A special “Thank You” this week to Feldwick Insurance who have donated the construction insurance to this project.
